Today I took my wife, a huge fan of the Left Behind book series, to see this. A squeal to the 2014 movie Left Behind with Nicolas Cage as Rayford Steele - Cassi Thomson as Chloe Steele - Chad Michael Murray as Buck Williams; now all played by different actors.
In this version, Kevin Sorbo takes over as Rayford Steele - Sarah Fisher as Chloe - Greg Perrow as Buck. Neal McDonough joins the cast as Jonathan Stonogal.
We pickup ...
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
This Doctor Strange movie was some what a different take on the Marvel Films - being a bit darker. Having call back feeling of the What If series, in the darker tones.
Sonic 2
So Last night I took my two oldest kids to watch Sonic 2. I think there were three or four large groups of kids with few adults scattered here and there, throughout the theather.
The movie has more or less the same comedy and action as the first one. Jim Carry does a great Eggman. Given Carry announced his retirement from acting the weeks leading up to the relase of this movie, I went in wondering how they would handle Eggman by the end of the movie so he would not have to come back for a third outing.
Overall I would say it was a good movie, and I will be buying it, and adding to library when it comes out on home release.
Morbius
It has been a week since sitting down and watching this movie. I would say the movie itself was not the worse thing made, but if you include the mid and post credit scenes, it drops it down a notch. With the director and a producer on the movie claiming events in Spider-Man No Way Home opened the door for things, they oviously did not watch the source material to know how things worked.
...SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT... It would have been better for them to use a "varient version" of Volture that could still have been played by Micheal Keeton, instead of trying to pull in from No Way Home. This would fix the lack of understanding how the movie's use of the multiverse worked.
Letto's protrail of Morbius in my oppion a better comicbook character for him, compared to his Joker of the DCU's Suicide Squad and Justice League.
Projects
Projects... Tasks I want to work on vs ability to work on. I need to finsih working
on my Arcade Cabinet, Need to look at adding 1 or 2 Tables to The LEGO City (but that is after more work
is done to the city first). Also there is projects related to designing and building --
Busy work than there is the work needed for fun. Need to get back into working on some
GoDot projects or working on pixelart for games.
Economy of the LEGO City and Growth
Between the city value, conversion rate, jobs... how to determine the
circulating economy of the city:
UnitedStates-Dollar to LEGO-Dollar ($ to £) currently is $0.22 = £100.00.
By taking the value of a set (example: Boutque Hotel $199.99 ~ £90,905, Town Hall
valued at $695 equates to £315,909) we calculate the conversion, and add it to the
city's economy flow.
Who owns what within the city. Who owes what within the city.
Within the city:
Town Hall
$695.00
£315,909.00
Brick Bank
$560.57
£254,805.00
Down Town Diner
$297.45
£135,205.00
Pet Shop
$260.00
£118,182.00
Police Station
$199.99
£90,905.00
Book Shop
$179.99
£81,814.00
£996,820.00
Other things to take into account which have to be considered,
Roads, Sidewalks, Parks, and so forth. There is also the MOCs and combined sets
and what have you. The idea is to both build the city out in reality as well as
the digital planned out version which allows us to track the different parts
being used for when we are factoring the value of the city.
Besides the planning things out, we have to factor who we have as a
whole living in the city and their different roles. Both in terms of 'story line'
as well as to have a spreed sheet of who lives where, what they own, what they do,
and such and such.
An example of both roles and story line could be the mayoral race
every few years. Who is running, what changes are they trying to make in the
city, and who has who in their corner. A mix between Modeling a city and
Simulating a City.
Things to work on over the next few weeks leading up to the 1st of
April:
Figure up the population of the city in terms of SigFig as well as the
John and Jane Does of the city.
City Layout and work on setting the Tables accordingly.
Calculate the current Value of the city as is.
Calculate the future Value with planned builds.
Calculate the current money within the city.
Work on figureing out what value each person(s) in the city has to start
with... and what their basic month to month is going to cost them.
After Seeing The Batman - My Thoughts
Matt Reeve's The Batman (2022) is in my
opinion one of the best versions of the character in live action, to date. In the
realm of movies like Seven (1995), the Alex Cross
movies Kiss the Girls (1997) and
Along Came A Spider (2001), the crime thriller genre.
The more gritty side of Batman where Christopher Nolan's trilogy was more show Batman
backstory to how he gets his tech and trained and keep it somewhat in the realm of
reality compared to the previous incarnations which were more cartoony.
For any Batman fans, this is a must watch. If this is the first
Batman movie you've ever seen before, this will not disappoint. I would say this is
up there with The Dark Knight (2008). Given this movie
takes place two years into being Batman, where he mostly dealt with street criminals,
The Riddler was a great choice of an adversary for him to go up against. Wetting our
appetites for other big name villains from the comics to come play with
Vengeance.
03/01/2022 and The Batman
Spring is nearly upon us, The Batman is
hitting theater (Tickets are bought and we are waiting on the edge of our seats).
Given when I was growing up as a child (let's be honest, I still AM A CHILD) Tim
Burton's Batman and Batman Returns were my introductions to the character followed
by the animated series.
Before seeing this version, I would say I would rank the Movies:
